house of soft form
mar 2025, modern minimalist
This residential interior was designed as a calm, minimalist home defined by clean planes, soft curves, and a restrained neutral palette. The living area features a full height TV wall finished in light textured panels, paired with vertical fluted detailing that introduces rhythm without visual noise. A low, integrated TV console runs seamlessly across the space, providing concealed storage while maintaining a floating appearance. Curved architectural elements were introduced at junctions and transitions to soften the geometry, particularly around the display niche and passage opening, allowing the space to flow naturally into the dining area. Large format flooring and muted wall tones help reflect natural light, creating a bright and expansive atmosphere despite the compact footprint.

In the private areas, functionality is carefully layered into the minimalist framework. The bedroom incorporates a raised platform bed with integrated drawers, maximising storage while keeping the room visually uncluttered. A long built in dresser sits by the window, doubling as a work or grooming area and benefiting from soft daylight filtered through sheer curtains. Full height wardrobes are designed with concealed handles and ventilation detailing, maintaining clean elevations while ensuring daily practicality. The bathroom continues the same material language with stone textured surfaces, integrated vanity storage, and a mirrored cabinet that enhances depth. Overall, the home demonstrates how thoughtful spatial planning, custom carpentry, and controlled material selection can create a serene, highly functional living environment that feels timeless and refined.
